IN ROUGHLY CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
Family/Childhood — only child, mother left early on, raised by james gordon
Education — finishes high school and college early (at 18), majored in computer science and data retrieval
Employment — works part time as a library researcher, wants to change society (esp gotham) for the better and applies to police and fbi, but is rejected due to age, gender and height and subject to sexism
Becoming a Hero — picks up cowl and cape for the first time at police station, again afterwards at masked ball to prove a point to her father, followed by the events of Year One
Being a Hero — acts as Batgirl for ~2 years before hanging up the cape to go into politics. in those two years, she works primarily with batman and robin (dick grayson), but also interacts with black canary and others. flirts with grayson but does not have a relationship with him, though they kiss a few times
Killing Joke + Disability — is shot by the joker in an attempt to drive her father (now commissioner) insane, overcomes (most of) her depression and ptsd to become the oracle, an information broker helping batman
Experimental Treatment — hears of potential treatment from her father, travels to south africa to undergo surgery, regains use of her legs
Batgirl Again — picks up cape and cowl again, fights crime in gotham (burnside) again and goes back to college for a phd in computer science
